Specism!

"The animal excavates sand to get the shell out, then swims for a long time to find an appropriate area where it can crack the shell," videographer Giacomo Bernardi, an evolutionary biologist at the University of California at Santa Cruz, said in a statement. "It requires a lot of forward thinking, because there are a number of steps involved. For a fish, it's a pretty big deal."

uhmm wow but fish have been around for so long why assume that this is a big deal for a fish what a specist!

This could also be a break through for pups born with swimmer syndrome,  who knew it was curable or could be treated with massage?

tell it!!!

The Daily Racist epsiode 1

"We do have to acknowledge that if I did not look the way I look - young, black, with [dread]locks and earrings...we are sure that things would have been handled differently," said Williams.

lmfaoo why would they bracket dread???? he said locks..and locks are the correct term for his hairstyle...why would they bracket dread???  the proper name for this hairstyle seen in the pic above is locks, the racist name for this hairstyle is dreadlocks.  the term dreadlocks came from Europeans who saw this hairstyle on Africans and thought it was dreadful.  So if you are racist and think this hairstyle is dreadful then call it dreadlocks.  If you think it is a hairstyle like any other and should not be criticized as people wear what they want to, then call them locks.

as far as the story >_> this will be the millionth incident this year alone where the PD was accused of lying and using excessive force, basically abusing their authority/ raping assaulting/ beating the crap out of NYC citizens.  Unfortunately Corruption here really isn't news. bleh lmao I wonder id was racism *end sarcasm*

The battle is not Won

Proof that racism still permeates our society, is everywhere just a bit more subtle than in the 60's.  Just because people can't spit and throw things at you while you walk to school/ work doesn't mean that attitudes towards people of color have changed that much.  See list of ridiculous scenarios and comments that have been overheard in the Northeast:

*"I don't look as ethnic as Beyonce" said the identity challenged black girl who sees herself as god only knows what when she looks in the mirror.

*"My parents wouldn't mind me dating a black person as long as they are intelligent"  Wouldn't it go without saying that anyone you date would be intelligent...are black people usually not intelligent so you have to make this distinction?

* when asked why this person of color doesn't hang out with any other people of color (all people in this scenario live in an upscale suburb and are headed to top tier colleges) the person responds "I just don't want any trouble"

*"I don't like or date regular black girls with regular black hair"  says the nappy headed very dark skinned black boy

*white employer asks black employee "so are you the first in your family to go to college?"

*when a young black adult goes on an interview and the potential employer stresses professionalism and goes on and on about it while openly doubting the applicants ability despite years of experience and accolades from previous employers

*co-incidentally referring to black get togethers/ gatherings as ghetto regardless of who is in attendance

*we've witness the constant debate over whether Obama is actually a citizen of the United States -____-  in addition to the general but constant over criticism of our current president most of which is not warranted, not to mention the deliberate bad press

These incidents are very limited and may seem mild but the implications behind these statements carry weight and are indicative of the overall impression that people have of people from African decent worldwide.  The people who blurted out these statements were careless/ tactless enough to unintentionally divulge their feelings on the matter.  Sadly most of the people in these scenarios were black themselves but that doesn't really make any difference regarding their feelings towards blacks or themselves.  Most (basic= not extremely intelligent) blacks have internalized the hostility they experience in their environments and have accepted them as truth.  they have accepted that they are inferior and less decent and that their abusers are righteous, hard working and fair.  People have forgotten the mass murders, slavery, injustice, it being illegal to read.  Learning how to read could and was usually punishable by death, yet there are studies that have concluded that Blacks are inferior to whites not accounting for the fact that people were maimed and murdered for reading or that any test in such an study would be given in a European language that would not be native to the person taking the exam.  Also the person (never being formally instructed to read or in and parts of speech) would be stumbling along this exam literally playing it by ear/ imitation.  but that is our science its what we hold the highest of all truths and even that is clearly not FAIR but that ugly reality of the field is always swept unde rthe rug, its not polite to mention these things but its perfectly acceptable to still believe them.

Most people are quick to agree that blacks are lazy and dont have any interest in creating their own businesses, no one mentions the countless black enterprises that were burned, looted, only because of racism.  These businesses were never replenished by insurance becasue blacks were not allowed that privilege.  Those businesses taht were ruined because of violent hatred were built on loans because blacks were never given any help from any government entity to upstart an independent venture that could produce economic stability for the black community.

these violent attacks to level out and impede any and all progress of African -Americans and blacks globally are soooooooooooooooooooo frequent, just about any black family has a story about victimization by neighbors or an institution that was never accounted for.  But interestingly enough none of this is written in any history books, there may be a reference to martin Luther King, or some whisper about Black Wallstreet but no one knows the details not the average person anyway.  These examples of violent attacks on innocent blacks are minimized and made to look like a one time incident, there too many to record in history, and people in power are not interested in publicizing their ugly moments of indiscretion.  White violence towards blacks has been blotted out of virtually all United States history but this country was built and sustained on the exploitation of blacks,  how is this happening present day?  In fifty years no one will believe that the transatlantic slave trade took place, no one will believe the inhumane and extremely unfair conditions blacks were forced to endure, but long lasting affects on blacks will remain.  All we see now is the fallout of slavery and Jim Crow but no one talks about these institutions and or who enforced them or how it really shaped our country.  All anyone observes is what blacks aren't doing, how they aren't doing it as good as whites but no one cares to reminisce  about why.  We see this reported constantly that blacks score lower on standardized tests, have smaller presences at college but these are always reported as if that is just the way it is no reporter has ever suggested the correlation with making education of blacks illegal with poor test performance today.  We hear all the time about violent crimes committed by blacks and how the prison population is mostly black no one dras a connection between that and the violenc inflicted on blacks by groups of whites, nor do they mention the sadistic and intentional break down of the family unit.  no one mentions how blacks were not able to marry legally but everyone can talk about the low black marriage rate.  no one mentions how blacks had their children sold like puppies during slavery and even during Jim Crow black children were rountinely and systematicall separated from their parents, by schools being far away, finiancial obligation that forced both parents in the home to work inconvenient hours, but everyone can talk and openly observe that black familys/ people don't stick together.

is it fair to state the obvious with out stating why its obvious?  is it fair to talk about any of black people's flaws without first discussing how white people caused them?

As Usual No Credit Given Where Due

I was strumming through the news this morning tryna piece togeva what might have happened at yesterdays shooting during the Labor day Parade when i saw this:

"The annual Labor Day parade celebrates the culture of the Caribbean islands and is one of the city's largest outdoor events"

o-O one of??????????? hold up...One of the city's largest events???

Let It be known that The West Indian day Parade IS! without a doubt thee largest event
in NYC this has been the case every single year for decades..why then would the news report otherwise???

._. what is the big deal about the West Indian Day Parade  being the biggest and most fun parade in NYC??? oh oh yea right admitting that le Blacks have the biggest turn out or best event...there's always that racism thing that bends the facts and never allows the truth to be told.

Welp I just told it

Biggie:  "Well if ya don't know now ya know Nigguh"
